Glossary
Every cue and term that appears on a death, one entry each.
- First sight
- The moment the exchange starts: The first tick at which one of the two players in a duel could see the other. On the duel strip it is a blue line with the label first sight.
- Eyes on you
- The killer's line to you was open. It is measured over the six seconds before the shot: For how long, from where and where your own crosshair was in that time. It reads as a sentence, for example: The killer at A Long had you for 2.9 s; you were looking at the killer.
- Held angle
- The enemy was already waiting on that spot with the line covered when you walked into it. On the map it is a cone resting on the enemy: Hollow and dashed while there is no line of sight, solid the moment the angle goes live.
- The read lane
- The top lane of the duel strip: What the enemy had on you, laid over the seconds from first sight to the shot. Eyes on you or an angle already held, with the label saying which and for how long. It is measured for your deaths only, so a duel you won leaves the lane empty.
- Cover spot
- The nearest spot out of the sight of every enemy who could see you at the moment you died, with the distance and the direction, for example: About 6 m ahead of you. On the map it is a green ring.
- The duel axis
- The strip under the round timeline that magnifies just this duel: The seconds from first sight to the shot, with every shot from both sides, hit or miss, with the read lane above it.
- Trade
- Whether a teammate was close enough, about 11 m, to shoot back at your killer the moment you died. A death with no teammate that close is tagged no trade.
- Severity
- How much a death cost, as a score from 0 to 1 on every death: Severe from 0.6, notable from 0.4, minor below that. The coach writes about the most severe deaths first.
- The match takeaway
- Two sentences for the whole match, written by the coach from every coached death in it, with one example from the match. It sits under every death of that match.
- The coaching focus
- On the coaching page: The habits that keep costing you rounds across matches, each with why it costs you, one drill to fix it and whether it is getting better match by match.
- Auto-pause
- The replay stops by itself at the moment the killer got eyes on you. A card says what just happened and how long before the shot it was. Press Continue and the round plays on.
- Focus duel
- The map zooms in on the fight, the other players fade and the replay runs in slow motion from the seconds before first sight to the shot.
