Three minutes on what wdid.gg does with a death, from Quinx's match on Inferno.
This is wdid dot gg: why did I die? It replays your matches around the moments you died, and says why. It explains itself the first time in. Every death is a row on the left. Round one.
This is a 2D view of your match. Every dot is a player. You may have seen a 2D replay like this before. What we add is everything about why you died. Focus duel. The map zooms in on the fight, and the replay runs. Then it stops by itself: the moment motherwrecker got eyes on you, two point one seconds before the shot. That is Auto-pause. The dashed line is that sight line: who could see whom, and for how long. The large purple cone, stretching from the enemy towards you: the enemy was already holding this angle, and you walked into it. There are more cones and marks like that. While the replay is paused, hover any of them and it says what it is. Click one, and the matching line lights up on the right. Same with the green ring: the nearest spot out of the killer's sight, two metres to your left. Click, and there is the line. Below the map, the whole round, with every fight marked. Under it, just this duel, magnified: the seconds from first sight to the shot. Holding the angle. First sight. Two point one seconds exposed. And every shot, from both sides. The two of you: health, armour, weapons. Continue, and watch it play out. It slows down for the duel. Every hit, where it landed. Now the right side, top to bottom. The story: what happened in the round, in plain words. The evidence: every measured line behind it. Two of them lit up a moment ago. And the fix: the one thing to do differently next time. Every death you had gets all of this: the replay, the marks, every measured line. That part is free. The parts tagged PRO are the coach: the story, the fix and the coaching page, which we will look at next.
The coach also reads across your matches. Under every death, a takeaway for the whole match: two sentences, and one example from it. And on the coaching page, the habits that keep costing you rounds. Each one with why it costs you, and one drill to fix it. Then the trend: whether it is getting better, match by match. All of that comes from your own deaths, nothing else.
